Knicks rally in fourth quarter to down Washington

04/12/2010 - New York, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Danilo Gallinari and Sergio Rodriguez combined for 26 of New York's 40 fourth-quarter points, and the Knicks closed out their home schedule with a 114-103 comeback victory over the Washington Wizards.

David Lee led the way with 26 points and also had eight rebounds for the Knicks, who snapped a three-game skid. Gallinari scored 24 to go with eight boards, while Rodriguez had all his points in the final period.

Toney Douglas chipped in 16 points and Chris Duhon netted 14 for New York, which rallied from a 10-point deficit earlier in the fourth quarter.

Mike Miller had 23 points to pace the Wizards, who lost their second in a row. Andray Blatche ended with 19 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, while Shaun Livingston scored 18 and had seven helpers. Nick Young scored 16 in defeat.

Miller's three-pointer boosted the Wizards to a 90-80 cushion nearly 1 1/2 minutes into the final quarter, but the Knicks surged and tied the game at 92 on a Gallinari three-ball with 7:12 left.

Miller responded with a jumper, but New York, which went 13-of-19 from the field in the last quarter, continued its great offensive play. The Knicks scored the ensuing 11 points, nine of them from Rodriguez. Washington stared at a 103-94 deficit with 3:25 left after a pair of Rodriguez foul shots, and the Knicks weren't threatened the rest of the way.

Washington held a 30-25 edge after 12 minutes, but the Knicks closed the gap to 46-45 at the half. The Wizards scored 10 in a row during the third for a 58-51 advantage. They went to the fourth holding an 82-74 edge.

Game Notes

Washington's final game will be at home against Indiana Wednesday, while New York plays the same night at Toronto...The Wizards ended 11-30 on the road, while the Knicks were 17-24 at Madison Square Garden...The Knicks won the season series, 3-1...Gallinari ended 4-of-6 from three-point range...Earl Barron, signed for the remainder of the season earlier Monday, had 13 rebounds and eight points for New York.

American Idol Betting Odds: Season 6

"Blake Lewis should go far because of his uniqueness and looks.  He's the boy next store with a twist - he beat boxes.  But on top of this, he's a great singer, and I adore him," Payton O'Brien relayed.

A talented beat-boxer Blake Lewis was a hit during the group sing in Hollywood but Simon explained that this is a singing contest just before he told him he was “in.”

Paul Kim has caught our own roving reporter, Jenny Woo's eyes. 

"I love the fact that there is a Korean American on the show and he is bound to get more Asians tuning into the show," Woo said from her Miami Beach estate.  "There has never been a major presence of Asian-Americans on American Idol in the past.  He's a hottie with a nice voice so that should help to take him far.  Expect heavy betting action from the Asian community."
