Redskins get CB Robinson off waivers

The 26-year-old Robinson played in four games for the Browns last season, recording two tackles. Drafted as Mr. Irrelevant in 2007 by Detroit, Robinson has recorded 36 tackles in 26 career games with the Lions, Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland.

The Redskins also waived defensive lineman Greg Peterson and rookie cornerback Melvin Stephenson. Washington had signed Peterson in April. He has played in 14 games over three seasons with Tampa Bay and Jacksonville.
